Colin O’hare
Hello everyone, my name is Colin O’Hare. I am a junior from Shelby County, KY, pursuing a marketing degree from Western Kentucky University and I am extremely honored to be a rider on Bike4Alz Team 9!
I had first heard about Bike4Alz as a freshman here at WKU and was unsure if it was something I would be interested in doing. Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease and after witnessing the effect that it has made on my family and friends over the years, I realized the importance of this organization. I have been blessed with an opportunity to make a positive impact on others’ lives and I am extremely grateful for that.
Statistically it is likely that at least one of the men on this team will develop Alzheimer’s. My teammates and I are hoping to change that. I want to be able to remember this summer’s cross-country trip for the rest of my life, and we are fighting to ensure people around the world are able to preserve their important memories as well. I am riding in support of all of those that have been affected, to raise awareness against such an awful disease, and to #EndAlz.
