Chaney Ruby

Hello, everyone! My name is Chaney Ruby and I’m a sophomore from Somerset Kentucky, studying Healthcare Administration at Western Kentucky University.

I first heard of Bike4Alz back in 2014 when my older brother made the cross-country trek on team four. I knew instantly that if I had the opportunity to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s, I would in a heartbeat. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Alzheimer’s and Dementia deaths have increased 16% alone. This frightening statistic shows that this disease is more deadly now than it has ever been and that it is crucial now more than ever to get out and spread awareness for this cause. I’m truly blessed to have the opportunity to make an impact this summer alongside my best friends for such an amazing organization. 

This summer I will be riding for every single life Alzheimer’s has affected and their loved ones. I’m looking forward to meeting and hearing the firsthand stories from those we will meet along the way and never let those stories die.
