Adam Burns
Hello! My name is Adam Burns and I am currently a sophomore at Western Kentucky University. I am studying Physical Education and plan to teach high school and coach in the future.
I first heard about Bike4Alz in high school, and was really interested in the organization. After learning more about the opportunity, I knew this was something I wanted to be involved in. 5.8 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease and countless more families are affected. This horrible disease has been affecting my grandmother for years now, and to see her struggle hurts me and my family. Knowing that there is nothing that can help this disease is very unsettling. She is unable to take care of herself and be the loving person she is. I hope to be able to bring awareness to our cause and make an impact for people suffering with Alzheimer’s around the world.
I am excited for this opportunity and eager to start the ride. I am riding for all of those that suffer from Alzheimer’s, but especially my grandmother who means the world to me. Team 10 is ready to #EndAlz.
