Spencer Cassady
Hello! I’m Spencer Cassady, a junior Mechanical Engineering student at Western Kentucky University. Personally, I haven’t been affected greatly by Alzheimer’s, but since being in college I’ve met many people who have (including some of my fraternity brothers). My faith is what drives me to want to make a change in the world like ending the Alzheimer’s disease and spread the love of God along the way. Hearing the story of how Bike4Alz started and seeing the passion of the people who participated in this organization prior to myself is also what makes me want to be a part of the EndAlz movement. I watched some of my best friends experience Bike4Alz last summer and heard their stories about how difficult but rewarding it was. I think that we can all make a bigger impact on the world than we realize—as long as we have the love and support of our family and friends! I can’t wait to spend my summer serving for the purpose of finding a cure to this memory-destroying disease.
