Hello everyone, my name is Benjamin Betts. I am a sophomore from Shelbyville, KY pursuing an accounting degree from WKU, and I'm extremely excited to be a rider on the 8th ride of Bike4alz.

Alzheimer’s is not just memory loss. Alzheimer's disease is the
sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. I find this statistic very disturbing. In fact, Alzheimer’s kills more seniors than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined. Statistically, it is very possible that I will develop Alzheimer’s in my life, which is crazy to me. Growing up, I saw many seniors at my church develop Alzheimer’s and saw firsthand the impact on their lives, and even more the impact on their families. I am riding to protect the memories and relationships of families all over. I am riding to raise money for research and development of cures and treatments to #endAlz
