Kieran Heintz

Hi! My name is Kieran Heintz and I’m a sophomore studying environmental sustainability and geology at WKU. I’m from Louisville Kentucky, so a little farther north from Bowling green. While being on team 12 I serve as the team’s secretary and website editor.

I came across Bike4Alz during the summer of first moving into college. A couple of friends that I met at the very beginning of college were on team 10 and 11 before me. They all mentioned how life changing the organization is and the ride itself not just for them but for others that they fought to ride for. I couldn’t believe how a group of guys could both raise as much money as they did and then change gears to riding across  North America! 

I have personally been through the process of seeing how conditions like alzheimers and dementia affect people within my own family making this cause something I can relate to. After hearing everybody else's' stories, I decided that I want to create my own story while fighting for this cause as well. This time I want to be on the forefront fighting against this disease and be able to make a difference for those who have and are going through this process.
