Tucker Phelps

Hello everyone, my name is Tucker Phelps. I am from Frankfort, Kentucky and am a junior majoring in Nursing. I am excited to embark on the 7th annual Bike4Alz ride.

My first exposure to Bike4Alz was during the 6th ride at a event in Goodfellas pizzeria in Lexington, Kentucky. At first, I had a hard time wrapping my mind around why a couple of guys would want to bike around 70 miles everyday. The effort they put forth for the ride seemed pointless to me when they could spend the summer working a job to pay for their college tuition. However, when I heard of the stories and bonds that they formed over the summer, I realized I was in a position which allowed me to travel on the upcoming journey this summer. That was an opportunity that was too good to pass up.

I ride for my family members that have been affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. My family has felt the impact of this terrible disease and its devastating symptoms. I would love nothing more than to raise enough money for physicians and doctors to have the necessary resources to #EndAlz!
