Nate Robb

My name is Nate Robb and I am from Bowling Green, KY. I am currently a Junior at Western Kentucky University, and am studying Animal Science in hopes of one day going to Vet School and eventually becoming a Veterinarian. Alzheimer’s Disease has personally affected me and my family and so this is something that I am very passionate about. I would have loved to bike with this year’s team, however due to some personal injuries I chose to drive to make it easier on my body.

My Grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease in 1998, my birth year. Due to this, I have personally seen the affects that Alzheimer’s has on a person for my entire life. I have seen my Grandmother’s decline in both quality of life, as well as her abilities to take care of herself all the way to the point of forgetting who her loved ones are. It breaks my heart every time I think of her, and this is why I wanted to do everything in my power to help fight for this awful disease. It truly ruins people’s lives and negatively affects the lives of their loved ones. That is the whole reason why we ride, and why I will drive for this team. We aren’t riding for ourselves or for the applause of men, we are riding for those affected by Alzheimer’s. Both those diagnosed, and the family members affected by this terrible disease.

For those who are personally affected, we are riding for you. We are riding to find a cure. We are riding to raise awareness. We are riding to End Alzheimer’s once and for good.
