Jack Blair
Hello! My name is Jack Blair, and I am currently a sophomore at Western Kentucky University. I am majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Sales! Go Tops! I am from Bowling Green, KY Greenwood HS, and after college I plan to pursue a career as a lawyer or an insurance producer!
I became interested in Bike4Alz in high school when I heard about it through a former high school baseball teammate of mine and former Bike4Alz driver, Noah Edmonson. Noah shared with me the impact Bike4Alz had on his life, and I was immediately called to action. My great-grandfather, JD Skaggs, or Pop-Pop, passed away from Alzheimer’s at the age of 86. Seeing the effect the disease had on him the last few years of his life is something I will never forget. This disease is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, and we are so close to finding a cure!
Bike4Alz is giving me and 13 of my best friends the opportunity to ride for the millions of people affected by Alzheimer’s each year. This summer, I will be riding in memory of my Pop-Pop and for all of the other people affected by this terrible disease. I pray for a safe journey this summer for all 14 Bike4Alz participants as we try to #EndAlz! I hope to see you somewhere along my 10 week journey. Thank you and God Bless!
