Dylan Taylor
Hello, my name is Dylan Taylor, and I am from Bowling Green, Kentucky. I am a sophomore at Western Kentucky University studying Manufacturing Engineering Technology.
I chose to join the 2019 Bike4Alz team because of my experience during a youth mission trip in the summer of 2016. During the mission trip, we volunteered at a facility providing a place of comfort for senior adults who were suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease. We had the great opportunity of building a bookcase for the facility, chatting, playing games, and worshiping with the patients. Getting to know those who lived there was a life changing experience. They made a significant impact on my life which motivated me to try to do something for the patients there and anyone else who has or is suffering from the disease.
During the fall of 2017, I learned about the possible opportunity to be a rider on Bike4Alz. That year’s team was already assembled at that time, but I knew that I eventually wanted to take part in this organization. I am extremely excited for this year’s trek, but I am even more ecstatic for the chance to finally do my part in helping those individuals and their families who are suffering. Our number one purpose is to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association. The whole Bike4Alz team and I take that very seriously. We are “riding for a cure”!
